Node.js Developer — Remote

Backend engineering is where software either scales or collapses. Over 20 years, I have built backends that needed to be reliable under real pressure — from mission-critical systems at INVAP to high-traffic platforms at Globant. Today, Node.js with NestJS is my primary backend stack, and I bring that same engineering discipline to every API, microservice, and data pipeline I build.

In FiTool, I designed a financial analytics backend with NestJS that processes real-time market data: Redis for caching hot paths, PostgreSQL for transactional data, and a worker queue system for heavy computations that cannot block the API. In GoJiraf, the backend handles concurrent OpenAI API calls, manages conversation state, and serves product data to thousands of simultaneous sessions. Every endpoint is validated with class-validator, documented with Swagger, and covered by integration tests.

I work remotely from GMT-3, overlapping naturally with US East Coast business hours. My code is clean, typed, tested, and documented — because I have spent enough years maintaining other people's code to know what that costs when it is not. Available for full-time remote positions, contract work, or consulting.
